Gavin studied Shiatsu at the British School of Shiatsu-Do and is a member of The Shiatsu Society. He practices from and runs our Southend Clinic.

He has been greatly influenced in the development of his Bodywork by the work of many Bodyworkers including Dan Stretton, Saul Goodman, Tom Myers and Leon Chaitow. His particular fields of interest are Spinal Dysfunction, Structural Correction, Myofascia and trauma rehabilitation. He thrives on new challenges and the opportunity to further his understanding of the human condition. A particular passion of Gavin's is helping people understand and deal with fear and anxiety.

He is an extremely practical person with a keen interest in western Anatomy and Physiology. Through his bodywork Gavin has helped many people reintegrate movement and motion back into their bodies. Once people have been released from the tension and stress that has imprisoned them he has witnessed remarkable transformations in peoples entire perception of their lives, and helped them realise the potential that was being locked inside their bodies.

Outside of Bodywork he also has over 20 years experience within the Martial Arts studying various systems including Kempo, Aikido and Escrima. He now studies Yang style Tai Chi under Sifu Steve Rowe and runs the Essex School of Tai Chi. Over the years Gavin has help develop programs centered around the Martial Arts and health issues for many people from various walks of life, levels of fitness and physical abilities, including stroke victims, wheelchair users and Cerebral Palsy suffers. Gavin is also an avid writer and is a regular columnist for the Martial Arts magazine 'The Martial Arts Standard'.

Moving into the future he is now busy concentrating on developing his Martial Arts, Bodywork, and writing.
