Deborah studied Shiatsu at the British School of Shiatsu Do (Essex) and is a member of The Shiatsu Society. She practices in Colchester on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Deborah has been a Registered Nurse since 1986. She has a diploma in both Asthma and COPD (chronic obstructive airways disease) and managed a busy respiratory clinic in a GP Practice for many years. For the last five years of her NHS employment, Deborah was joint Service Lead for the COPD Team, combining physiotherapy and nursing skills to the care of patients with respiratory disease in both the hospital and community settings.

Deborah is now concentrating on her Shiatsu career and is particularly interested in the body’s response to everyday stresses. The recovery of the breath and motion to the body with shiatsu techniques is truly restorative, deeply relaxing and incredibly beneficial.

Some of the most common conditions that have attended Deborah’s clinic have been back pain, sports injury, headaches, menstrual problems, anxiety and depression. However Shiatsu is for everyone, young and old and a pleasing number of teenagers regularly attend her clinic which is fabulous.
